Student working hard on assessment
“Distinguished District” designation 3 years running

The recent release of the state assessment scores finds the Pulaski County School System continuing to achieve at the highest levels. The county school system remains at the 98%ile level according to this week’s release of Kentucky’s assessment scores ranking them 11th of 173 districts in the state. This has earned the Pulaski County School System a distinguished district designation, the highest level under Kentucky’s Unbridled Learning system.

Two students attended the Reach Higher “Beating the Odds” Summit event in Washington D.C.
On July 23, Katelyn Adams and Samantha Coffman joined First Lady Michelle Obama at the White House for the Reach Higher “Beating the Odds” Summit. The event celebrated the students’ accomplishments in overcoming adversity on their way to colleges across the country.

PCHS and SWHS students participated the recent Health Occupations Today (HOT) Expo held at the Center for Rural Development. 10th - 12th Grade Gifted, GEAR - UP, Allied Health, and Biomedical students had the opportunity for hands-on medical activities and meet healthcare practitioners, college health professionals, and medical students.
