U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos today recognized Oak Hill Elementary School as 1 of 349 schools as National Blue Ribbon Schools for 2018. SWHS Students Recognized for Anthem Essay Contest

Five students from Southwestern High School received recognition for the prestigious Anthem essay contest. SWHS has had students win the past two years, but never have they had this many awards. The school has never had a student reach such a high recognition as Chase Eastham. Each year, over 14,000 students submit essays from over 100 countries across the world! So, these five students are considered among the top 1% of submissions! Parent Meeting for GT

There will be a GT Parent meeting on September 20th for high school junior and senior parents beginning at 4:30 p.m. in the Central Office Boardroom. The topic is "Financial Aid 101". The parent meeting is for gifted and parents of college bound students that would like to know more about Financial Aid, FASFA, and Work Ready. PSA - Training Exercise with First Responders

On Sat July 21st a training exercise will be held at Pulaski Elementary School on University Drive between 12 pm and 5 pm. There will be a heavy presence of Emergency Services and military assets in the area. This exercise is to help the local,state, and federal responders prepare for emergencies in the area. Immunizations
New Immunization Requirements for 2018

Effective July 1, 2018: ALL students in preschool through twelfth grade must show proof of having received two doses of Hepatitis A vaccine to attend school. These doses are given 6 months apart.  read more about New Immunization Requirements for 2018
