I. ADOPT AGENDA: Adopted agenda as presented.
II. RECOGNITION
- A. CHARACTER SALUTE RECIPIENTS: Recognized NMS student Samantha Hall and SWHS adult Kaye Hudson as character recipients for initiative.
- B. WWII DIPLOMA PRESENTATION: Presented Mr. Victor Frantz with a diploma from Chicago City Schools.
III. COMMUNICATIONS/REPORTS
- A. SCHOOL RENOVATIONS/ADDITIONS PROGRESS REPORTS: Ed Cook reported that all projects were on schedule with no issues to report.
- B. CERTIFIED/CLASSIFIED/VOLUNTEER PERSONNEL ACTIONS: Reported to Board.
- C. STUDENT DROPOUT: Dropout rate is 1/2 of 1%.
- D. SUPERINTENDENT’S REPORT: Mr. Eaton commented on the excellent work that took place on assessment analysis PD day. Carole Hancock presented CATS Scores and Marlene Haney discussed the Fall Academy session.
IV. ACTION ITEMS WITH DISCUSSION
- A. TREASURER’S REPORT/AUTHORIZE PAYMENT OF BILLS: Approved.
- B. WORKING BUDGET F/Y 2003: Bill Boyd presented the working budget for 2003. It is based on worst case scenarios with the best estimates possible given the lack of budget information from the state. Approved.
- C. CREATE/AMEND/ABOLISH PERSONNEL POSITIONS: Approved.
- D. CHANGE ORDER #3 NANCY/SHOPVILLE KITCHEN INSTALLATION: Approved.
V. ACTION ITEMS BY CONSENT
- A. MINUTES: Approved minutes from previous meeting.
- B. DISTRICT BOARD POLICIES UPDATE #25-SECOND READING: Approved multiple changes.
- C. DISTRICT BOARD PROCEDURES UPDATE #6: Multiple procedures are being rescinded.
- D. OUT-OF-DISTRICT ADA CONTRACTS: Approved Somerset, Monticello, and Casey County.
- E. MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING KRA CORPORATION: Approved for tutoring and job skill related services for middle/high school students.
- F. SHORTENED SCHOOL DAY-SPECIAL NEEDS STUDENT: Approved.
- G. SCHOOLWIDE FUND-RAISING PROJECT: Approved for Eubank Elementary.
- H. OUT OF STATE TRIP REQUESTS: Approved for SWHS FCCLA and PCHS Dance Team.
