I. ADOPT AGENDA: Adopted agenda as presented.
II. RECOGNITION
- A. GOOD CHARACTER SALUTE RECIPIENTS: Recognized optimism recipients, student Justin Miracle from Woodstock and adult recipient, Jolene Rogers from Southwestern High School.
III. COMMUNICATIONS/REPORTS
- A. SCHOOL RENOVATIONS/ADDITIONS: Ed Cook updated progress at Southwestern High School, Pulaski County High School and Southern Elementary School.
- B. CERTIFIED/CLASSIFIED/VOLUNTEER PERSONNEL ACTIONS: Reported to Board.
- C. STUDENT DROPOUT: Year to date dropout rate at 1.65%
- D. SUPERINTENDENT'S REPORT: Superintendent Tim Eaton announced high school graduation dates for the class of 2003: Pulaski Central on May 29th at 10:00 a.m. at the Center for Rural Development, Pulaski County High School on May 31st at 10:00 a.m. and Southwestern High School on May 31st at 12:30 p.m. Mr. Eaton also reported that our end of year “Celebration” will be held on May 22nd at the Center beginning at 7:00 pm. He discussed a budget meeting with Commissioner Wilhoite who is still cautioning districts to be conservative in their spending.

- A. TREASURER'S REPORT/AUTHORIZE PAYMENT OF BILLS: Approved
- B. FIVE (5) DISASTER DAYS PURSUANT TO SB 132: Accepted 5 disaster days.
- C. 2002-2003 SCHOOL CALENDAR AMENDMENT: See amended calendar on website making May 29th the last day for students and 185 day staff working through June 6th.
- D. CONTRACT/AGREEMENT PULASKI COUNTY YOUTH FOOTBALL LEAGUE: Approved construction of concession and restroom facilities at Southern Middle School.
- E. BG-1/CONCESSION/RESTROOM FACILITY SOUTHERN MIDDLE SCHOOL: Approved
- F. PCHS PHASE VI CHANGE ORDER: Approved change order for $5868.00
- G. POSTAGE MACHINE LEASE: Approved
V. ACTION ITEMS BY CONSENT
- A. MINUTES OF MARH 11, 2003: Approved minutes from previous meeting.
- B. NONRESIDENT STUDENT CONTRACTS: Approved contracts with 10 districts including: McCreary County, Laurel County, Wayne County, Russell County, Monticello Independent, Rockcastle County, Lincoln County, Casey County, Science Hill Independent, and Somerset Independent.
- C. AUDIT CONTRACT: Approved
- D. GRANT PROPOSAL ENHANCING EDUCATION THROUGH TECHNOLOGY: Approved submission of grant.
- E. PROPERTY, FLEET & LIABILITY INSURANCE RENEWAL 2003-2004: Approved
- F. SCHOOL PHOTOGRAPHY CONTRACTS RENEWALS: Approved Life Touch and Bob McEachern Photographers.
- G. OUT OF STATE TRIP REQUEST: Approved Northern Middle School’s Beta Club trip.
- H. SCHOOLWIDE FUND-RAISING PROJECT REQUEST: Approved Northern Middle School’s fund-raising request.
VI. EXECUTIVE SESSION KRS 61.810 (1) (c) PENDING LITIGATION: Met in executive session. No action taken.
