- SUPERINTENDENT’S REPORT: Superintendent Tim Eaton reported that
attendance for the district is up slightly from last year and is steady.
1. PEAK PROGRAM – ON LINE MATH TUTORIAL: ESL/Middle School Supervisor Ginna Hess and Middle School Curriculum Specialist Jeff Nash presented the new PEAK program to the board. Teachers, students and parents can all benefit from the program. The PEAK on line math tutorial for middle and high school students can be accessed at www.pulaski.net by clicking on “curriculum” then on “PEAK”.
IV. ACTION ITEMS APPROVED WITH DISCUSSION
- TREASURER’S REPORT, AUTHORIZE PAYMENT OF BILLS: Approved
- ANNUAL 2005 FINANCIAL REPORT: Ended the year with a 6.8% contingency.
- SET 2006 TAX RATES: .9% less than last year
- MOTOR VEHICLE 2006 TAX RATE: Approved rate same as last year (50.3 cents per $100 assessed value on motor vehicles and watercraft).
- WORKING BUDGET 2005-2006: Approved a working budget of approximately 54 million.
- CREATE/AMEND/ABOLISH PERSONNEL POSITIONS: Created Itinerant School Psychologist Position, amended Aide positions at Shopville Elementary and Pulaski County High School and amended Teacher positions at Nancy Elementary and Southern Middle.
- BG-4 FINAL PAY APPLICATION HVAC & ROOF REPAIRS NMS, SMS, & PCHS: Approved
- BG-4 FINAL PAY APPLICATION PULASKI CENTRAL KITCHEN ADDITION: Approved
- EMPLOY ARCHITECT FOR VOCATIONAL EDUCATION CENTER RETROFIT: Approved Clotfelter.Samokar of Lexington.
