II. RECOGNITION
- RECOGNITION PRISM AWARDS: Recognized Elementary School level PRISM award recipients, Judy Vanhook from Woodstock Elementary and Kristy Nicely from Shopville Elementary and Administrative level recipient, Lisa Hall, Counselor at Nancy Elementary.
- DISTRICT ASSESSMENT: District Assessment Coordinator, Carole
Hancock presented an overview on 2005 testing assessment data. Highlights
included: 5 of 8 elementary schools met or exceeded their goal at midpoint, Woodstock Elementary scored 109 in science and 91 total, Northern Middle scored 90 or better in 4 areas and all grade levels improved district-wide from the previous year.
III. COMMUNICATIONS/REPORTS
- CERTIFIED/CLASSIFIED PERSONNEL ACTIONS: Reported to Board
- SUPERINTENDENT’S REPORT: Superintendent Tim Eaton reported on the Vocational School progress and an upcoming statewide High School restructuring retreat. Mr. Eaton also reported his recent attendance at a statewide teacher of the year recognition ceremony where Woodstock Elementary teacher, Judy Vanhook was recognized as 1 of the top 3 elementary teachers in the state. Assistant Superintendent, Marlene Haney reported on assessment scores and fall academy. Student and Community Services Coordinator, Sonya Wilds reported on attendance (up .6 from last year) and growth factor. Kentucky Deputy Secretary of Education, Mardi Montgomery briefly addressed the Board Members reiterating district testing results.

- TREASURER’S REPORT, AUTHORIZE PAYMENT OF BILLS: Approved
- CREATE/AMEND/ABOLISH PERSONNEL POSITIONS: Created a Preschool Teacher and Aide position at Burnside Elementary and a Special Education Aide at Nancy Elementary. Amended positions at Eubank Elementary and Shopville Elementary.
- SHORT-TERM REVENUE PARTICIPATION LOAN FOR VOCATIONAL/TECHNICAL SCHOOL PROJECT: Approved
- BG-1 VOCATIONAL EDUCATION CENTER: Approved
- SCHEMATIC DESIGN AREA TECHNOLOGY CENTER: Approved
- EMPLOYEE MILEAGE REIMBURSEMENT RATE: Approved an increase in mileage reimbursement rate to .38 effective October 1, 2005.
