II. RECOGNITION

  1. GLENN GAINES, ENERGY EDUCATION, ENERGY LIGHTHOUSE AWARD: Representative from Energy Education, Inc. presented BJ Lawson (District Energy Manager) with a plaque for an over $3 million cost savings in energy reduction in just over 9 years.
  2. PRISM RECIPIENTS: Recognized Elementary Level PRISM Recipient, Holly Tyler from Eubank Elementary.
  3. DISTRICT VOLUNTEERS: Community Involvement Coordinator, Bonnie Salyers recognized 2005-2006 Volunteers of the Year as follows: Rev. Dana Hardwick (Adult Education), Linda Jones (Burnside Elementary), Robyn Stephens (Eubank Elementary), Charlotte Cummins (Memorial Education Center), Joan Garner (Nancy Elementary), Michelle Petty (Northern Middle), Suzanne Emerson (Oak Hill Elementary), Judy Carter (Pulaski County HS), Atha Petrey (Pulaski Central), Ginny McIver (Pulaski Elementary), Betty Cureington (Shopville Elementary), Jennifer Williams (Southern Elementary), Vicki Bray (Southern Middle), Jill Fothergill (Southwestern HS), Lisa Presley (Woodstock Elementary)

III. COMMUNICATIONS/REPORTS

  2. STUDENT DROPOUT REPORT: 2%
  3. SUPERINTENDENT’S REPORT: Superintendent Tim Eaton reported the best ever state budget for education funding. Eaton also announced four principal vacancies with 2 of those recently filled—Mr. Billy Ray Norris was appointed principal for Shopville Elementary and Mr. Mike Murphy selected for Pulaski Elementary. Pulaski County High School is taking applications and Nancy Elementary is beginning the interview process. In addition, Eubank, Oak Hill and Shopville Elementary are to receive full time nurses next school year as part of a Health Department nursing contract.

  2. SCHOOL CALENDAR AMENDMENT 2005-2006: Approved
  3. TENTATIVE WORKING BUDGET 2006-2007: Approved
  4. FUNDED POSITIONS 2006-2007: Approved
  5. SALARY SCHEDULE 2006-2007: Approved d 2% increase for certified employees and a 3% increase for classified.
  6. OWNER/ARCHITECT CONTRACTS/KDE NON-COLLUSION AFFIDAVIT, PULASKI ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS GYMNASIUM FLOORING : Approved installation of rubberized gymnasium flooring for Eubank, Nancy, Oak Hill and Woodstock Elementary School.
  7. BG-1 NANCY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL ADDITION/RENOVATION: Approved renovation providing one classroom renovated as part of a new administration suite and existing administration area renovated to classroom spaces.
