II. RECOGNITION

  1. District Academic Team Champions
    Pulaski Elementary School and Woodstock Elementary School: Recognized both schools for winning their respective district Governor’s Cup competitions. Both will compete in the regional Governor’s Cup.

III. COMMUNICATIONS/REPORTS

  1. Certified/Classified Personnel Actions: Reported to Board
  2. Student Drop Out Report: 1.6%
  3. Report On The Educational Planning and Assessment System (EPAS) by Carole Hancock, District Assessment Coordinator: Mrs. Hancock provided results based from 2006 EPAS, EXPLORE, PLAN and ACT assessments.
  4. Superintendent’s Report: Superintendent Tim Eaton announced FRYSC Appreciation Week March 12 –16; discussed the future implementation of a KSBA “emeeting” online service enabling paperless board meetings; and explained the House bills passed in this session relating to education.

  2. Speech Therapy Service Agreement 2007 School Year: Approved service agreement with Gail Byrd, SLP, for Speech Therapy services to be provided to identified students in the school system.
  3. Out of State Trip Requests: DECA, PCHS, and SWHS: Approved trip to Orlando, Florida for International  DECA Conference April 26—May 2.
  4. SWHS Regional Envirothon: Approved trip to Trigg County on April 14, 2007.
  5. School Wide Fund Raising Request: Approved fund raising request for Shopville Elementary Spring Book Fair.
