Dolly Parton Imagination Library Logo

The Pulaski County Dolly Parton Imagination Library (DPIL) was started in 2013, and this year will celebrate ten years of providing free books to children in Pulaski County.

Our goal is for every eligible child in the Pulaski County School System to be a part of the DPIL. To be eligible, the child must be age birth to five and live in Pulaski County.  For more information and to enroll, click HERE.

Clothing donation by Noah's Ark Storage - Kentucky

Noah's Ark Storage - Kentucky graciously made a large clothing donation to all 12 FRYSC Centers in Pulaski County Schools, even taking the the time to select clothing to match the school's colors. Pulaski County Schools are grateful for businesses, like Noah's Ark Storage, who take the time to give back and invest in our students by helping to meet basic needs.

2022 KSA Scores

The Kentucky Summative Assessment (KSA) scores have been released and Pulaski County Schools is a high ranking district in Kentucky.  Overall, our elementary schools rank within the top 6%, middle schools within the top 10%, and high schools within the top 17%.  We're proud of our students, teachers, and staff, and we're grateful for the support we receive from our community partners!  We strive to meet the needs of each child, and continuously improve their educational experiences.  Way to Go Pulaski County Schools!

FCCLA Fall Region 14 Meeting

PCHS FCCLA hosted the 2022-23 Fall Region 14 Meeting at East Somerset Baptist Church on September 27, 2022.   Pulaski won the spirt of Regiona 14  with 2nd in Visiual, 2nd in Cupcakes, 1st in Knoledge bowl. There were over 170 in attendance including members and advisors from 9 schools, including Taylor, Somerset, Southwestern, Campbellsville, Wayne, Cumberland, Adair, Clinton, and Pulaski. $333.53 was raised towards the Kentucky State Scholarship Fund and Rae of Sunshine for FCCLA

Pulaski County and Southwestern High celebrate its 20th year for the Society of Character. The mission of the Society of Character is to recognize a male and female junior or senior who have exemplified outstanding character in their respective sport. Each recipient was selected by their coach/coaches on outstanding character, academic excellence, sportsmanship, and involvement in their school and the community.

Reapplying for Emergency Broadband Benefits

Many of our families have received notification from USAC that EBB benefits have expired and that you need to reapply.  This is the program that provided families with discounts on home Internet service and the option to buy devices at discounted prices.  If you have received this letter and need to reapply, click HERE for a step-by-step guide on completing the online application.  If you need a district letter confirming your child's eligibility under the CEP program, please contact your school to request this letter. 

Stuff the Bus

Pulaski County Schools are partnering with Kentucky Educational Development Corporation and other Eastern Kentucky School districts in a toy and supply drive for the Kentuckians in Western Kentucky that were affected by the storms over the weekend.  It is called "Stuff the Bus".  Donations of toys and supplies may be dropped at any Pulaski County School or the Pulaski County Central Office.  These toys and supplies will be caravaned over on Monday December 20.  If you have any questions please feel free to email patrick.richardson@pulaski.kyschools.us or call 606-679-1123.

Pulaski Schools recently held its 2020 Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony at Pulaski County High School.  Pulaski School System is proud to honor the rich heritage of academic, athletic, and civic contributions made by those who have attended or have had long-term associations with the PC School System from past and present.  Five individuals and two teams were honored by being inducted into the Hall of Fame for 2020.

PES Appreciation for Health Care Workers

Pulaski Elementary fifth grade students worked to collect non-perishable food items  to help all of the hospital workers to have a treat to provide strength and to remind them that they are appreciated and loved.  Pictured are Mr. Josh Wheeler, Ms. Sharon Young, accepting baskets on behalf of LCRH, Mrs. Cindy Dick, Mrs. Cassi Coffey, and Mrs. Jennifer Moody.

PCHS Community Project

The PCHS Volleyball Team, with coach McKenzie McCollum, put together 72 goody bags to be handed out to health care workers and staff at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.  The team wanted to take this on as a community project to show their appreciation for the hard work and tireless hours spent during this pandemic and it was truly a success.

Kentucky has been approved to provide summer P-EBT benefits as offered by the USDA. Please note the following important aspects of the approval:

  • All eligible students will receive the same total benefit amount of $375 for the covered summer period. The benefit will be a one-time deposit to the existing cards that should occur in August.
  • Summer P-EBT is an “extension” of the 2020-2021 P-EBT benefit, so all students that ended the school year as eligible will automatically receive the benefits, including students that graduated.

Pulaski County School District will be participating in the Seamless Summer Option of National School Lunch Program and the School Breakfast Program.  As part of this program, BES, EES, MEC, NES, NHES, NMS, OHES, Eagle, PCHS, PES, SHES, SES, SMS, and SWHS will offer healthy meals every school day at NO COST to all enrolled students and children age 18 and younger that are siblings of enrolled students for school year 2021-2022.  Students and these specific eligible community children will be able to participate in these meal programs without having to pay a fee.  Click on the above article title for additional information.

The Emergency Broadband Benefit Program by the FCC provides a temporary discount on monthly bills for qualifying households.  Recipients may receive up to $50/month discount on broadband service and associated equipment rental and a one-time discount of up to $100 for a laptop, tablet or desktop computer.  Your household qualifies for this benefit if your service provider participates and if you have a Pulaski County Student in your home because our school system participates in USDA Community Eligibility Provision providing all students with free meals at school. Meals will be available for up to 7 days per week, May 24 - July 30, 2021.  Pickup at Pulaski County High School available Monday - Friday only (weekend meals picked during the week).  To be approved, complete and return the application to Mary Worley or Carylon Burdine.  Participants must read the Sponsor Training Guide.  Meals may be provided for children 18 and younger and persons age 19 - 21 participating in a school program who have a mental or physical disability.  For additional information contact Food Services at 679-1123 or Charita Roberts at 679-3217.  Click on the article title above for additional information.

You must be 21, complete a Pulaski County Schools employment application, have a current KY driver license with a good driving record, have a high school diploma or GED, pass a DOT physical, and pass a drug test prior to the start of classes. Free Parental Information Academy - Pulaski Co. Sheriff's Office

The second round of the Covid vaccinations will be given on Friday March 5 and Friday March 12. Staff Last Call for COVID 19 Vaccine

If you are employed by Pulaski County Schools, originally signed up for the COVID-19 vaccine and have not received it yet, please complete the survey found HERE by the end of the day on Friday, February 5.  This will allow us to plan for the appropriate number of vaccinations left to administer. The vaccine will be administered at the Central Office Boardroom on Monday, February 8 between 9 and 3.  This will be the last opportunity for district staff to receive the vaccination this round.  You can also find the survey under the "Employee Survey and Requests Forms" menu at the top of any school/district webpage.

Attention Seniors

Herff Jones will be at PCHS on Wednesday, December 16th from 11-2:30. Seniors may pick up early delivery items or stop by to place an order. Juniors who want to order a class ring may also stop by and order. Students will pull to the bottom parking lot at the auditorium steps for orders.

All cafeterias at each school will have curbside meal pick-up.  You must complete the School Meal Request Form, so we know to prepare a meal for you.  Click here: www.pulaski.net/foodservice INTERNAL_LINK

  • Complete one application per child.
  • If you have children enrolled in multiple schools, all meals can be picked up at one school.
  • Meal services begin August 24th, and will continue until we are back to in-person instruction.

  • By completing this form, you are opting to pick up breakfast and lunch meals until we return to in person instruction.

Young Women LEAD Live!

High School girls in KY, IN, WV and OH can participate in the FREE, virtual Young Women LEAD Live! event presented by Toyota on Sept. 24 or Sept. 25 from 9:30 a.m. - Noon.  The event features the World's #1 coach for young women, Julie Carrier; Disney filmmakers and twin activists Maryam and Nivaal Rehman along with High School Musical actress and UN Youth Champion, Monique Coleman.  The event is hosted virtually through Northern KY University.  Registration opens on August 10.  Go to www.youngwomenlead.com 

In conjunction with Prairie Farms and the Kentucky Dairy Development Council, officers/members of the Pulaski County High FFA Chapter were on hand helping pass out "Farmers to Families" food boxes.  1,320 boxes were given to residents of Pulaski County on a first come first serve basis.  This was a free box which included 2 gallons milk, cottage cheese, cream cheese, dip, flavored milk, and sour cream.
