On the dates of April 17th-19th members of Pulaski County's chapter of FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) traveled to Louisville to compete in the state FBLA conference.  The conference ended up being a huge success as 25 students received rewards as Pulaski County placed in 15 events (by unofficial count which was the 2nd most awards received at the conference). Twenty students will continue their quest for glory in Anaheim, CA on the dates of June 28th-July3th as they represent Kentucky FBLA.  During the conference, the chapter was recognized as the Diamond Chapter of the Year (1st Place in the state of Kentucky) and the chapter adviser, Mr. James Murray was recognized as the Kentucky FBLA Adviser of the Year.

 

Overall, 132 schools competed in this year's conference. The following students all placed top 5 in their events and earned the right to compete at Nationals:  Makayla Ping, 4th Place in Entrepreneurship Concepts----Taylor Cooper, 4th Place in Accounting II------Trevor Ridner, Micah Smith, Braxton Witt, 2nd Place in Banking and Financial Systems------Kelsi Shivel, Andrew Ridner, Kacie Baker, 2nd Place in Community Service Project------Bobby Blanco, Jason Hines, Dip Patel, 5th Place in Entrepreneurship--------Sam Smith, Micah Wooldridge, Kamil Cook, 2nd Place in Global Business-----Morgan Helton, Sydney Parmalee, 5th Place in Introduction to Business Presentation------Chapter, 3rd Largest in KY with 258 Members-----Alondra Avina, Alyssa Black, Bailey Cook, Addy Parrott, Rebecca Graham, Lexie Thomsen, Jaime Excellent, 4th Place in Local Chapter Scrapbook------Haylee Ridner, Jordy Stevens, Jenna Wood, 2nd Place in Partnership with Business Project------Beau Mobley, 1st Place in Sales Presentation-------Brennan Perkins, 4th Place in Future Business Leader--------Trevor Ridner, Brennan Perkins-----2nd Place in Reporter's Quill
