Classified Allocations
Instructional Assistants & Clerical Staff (Elementary)
- Secretary/Clerical: 1,400 hours per position
- Instructional Assistants: 1,260 hours per position

- Schools are allotted 6.4 minutes annually per square foot of building(s)

- Cook/Baker: 1,080 hours per position. Number of positions based on KY State Depart. recommendations
- The hour allotment may be used in any way that meets the needs of the individual school.
Elementary schools receive one instructional assistant per 80 children, middle schools receive one per 300 children, and high schools receive one per 500 children. The only requirement for instructional assistants, by law, is one instructional assistant per 24 kindergarten students.
The number of positions for secretary/clerical positions and for library aides is based on SACS accreditation standards and is staffed above SACS minimum in most areas.
