DIFFERENTIATED INSTRUCTION – BASED ON DR. CAROL ANN TOMLINSON’S WORK.
2 Hour session. This session covers the rationale and need for DI as well as five popular strategies. 6 Hour session – in addition, we work with the book by Carol Ann Tomlinson, How to Differentiate in a Mixed-Ability Classroom. After completion of the six-hour session, teachers should be ready to implement DI in their classrooms.
CLASSROOM INSTRUCTION THAT WORKS – BASED ON DR. ROBERT MARZANO’S WORK.
Three 2 hour sessions – each covering 2-3 strategy categories all of which are research based and proven to raise student achievement.
PROCEDURES AND ROUTINES – BASED ON DR. HARRY WONG’S WORK.
From the Effective Teacher Series – 2 hour session. This session covers the difference between procedures, routines, discipline and rules. Good for classroom management needs. Includes great tips for teachers.
PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTOR TRAINING - KDE
2 hour session. This session will acquaint teachers with state documents for student assessment at the four suggested levels.
LESSON MASTERY – BASED ON THE WORK OF Dr. TOM GUSKEY AND HARRY WONG
One 2 hour session. How to design lessons to reach mastery of content. Many good tips for teachers.
INSPIRING ACTIVE LEARNING – BASED ON THE BOOK BY MERRILL HARMON
One 2 hour session. Includes the DESCA system and many quick, easy, instructional strategies for teachers to implement in their classrooms.
