4th Grade GT Students are Hooked on Science

Pulaski County Schools Gifted and Talented 4th grade students worked to create better endings to some fairy tales by engineering a stronger chair for Goldilocks, a better bridge for the "Three Billy Goats Gruff", and a better house for the "Three Little Pigs" using building materials provided to them.  Following the design process, students sketched their ideas on paper and group members reasoned out the best design from the group.  They constructed a prototype from the plans and worked diligently to improve it to support the weight of the fairy tale characters.

In the above image, the Shopville Elementary students show off their new designed for a chair for Goldilocks.
