The US Department of Education recognizes schools based on high academic achievement or success in closing achievement gaps for diverse groups of students.  The program began in 1982 with a goal of shining a spotlight on the best schools in the United States and to share best practices.  To learn more about the program, visit the USDOE National Blue Ribbon Schools website.

Northern Elementary School was named a National Blue Ribbon School for 2024 because of Exemplary High Performance.  Congratulations NHES for a job well done!
