SMS Recognized as One of the BEST MIDDLE SCHOOLS by U.S. News and World Report! SMS is very proud to announce a ranking of #14 out of 302 middle schools in Kentucky! This week, U.S. News and World Report released their rankings for elementary, middle, and high schools. For each state, schools were assessed on their pupils’ proficiencies in mathematics and reading, as measured by state assessment tests. Half of the ranking formula was the results themselves; the other half was the results in the context of socioeconomic demographics. In other words, the top-ranked schools are high achieving ones that also succeeded in educating all of their students. Our faculty and staff work diligently every single day to ensure that SMS students are receiving the best education we can provide. This recognition validates the hard work that SMS faculty, staff, and students do each and every day!
