District News

The Pulaski County School System is accepting nominations for the 2022 Hall of Fame.  The purpose of the Hall of Fame is to recognize and honor the rich heritage of academic and athletic contributions made by those who have attended or had long-term associations with the Pulaski County School System.  We wish to honor those who have displayed extraordinary contributions and accomplishments by inducting them as honored members of the Pulaski County School System Hall of Fame.  Nominees will be considered from all schools both past (before county consolidation) and present.  Nominees are to be at least ten years removed from graduation or who has been a significant contributor to the community of the Pulaski County School System.  Deadline for the nominations is October 14.   You can download nomination forms HERE or pick-up at the Pulaski County Board of Education, Pulaski County High School or Southwestern High School.

Beginning of the year paperwork! 

Starting July 1, 2022, all parents of returning students will need to complete their annual registration update and household income form through the parent portal.  Simply, log in to your parent portal, choose More, then complete the Online Registration and Meal Benefits sections.

Pulaski County and Southwestern High celebrate its 20th year for the Society of Character. The mission of the Society of Character is to recognize a male and female junior or senior who have exemplified outstanding character in their respective sport. Each recipient was selected by their coach/coaches on outstanding character, academic excellence, sportsmanship, and involvement in their school and the community.

Pulaski County Schools hosted the annual Spelling Bee on Tuesday, February 22, 2022.  Participants represented the Pulaski County School District, Science Hill Independent School District, Somerset Christian School and Somerset Independent School District.  All participants did an outstanding job with Sidney Debord (Northern Elementary) as Winner and Olyvia Keck (Hopkins Elementary) as Runner Up.
