GT Students Participate in CREATE: Music STEM Camp

An appreciation toward science and technology was gained from a group of gifted and talented eighth graders from across Pulaski County School District.  CREATE:  Music STEM Camp with PEERS Foundation based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, traveled to both Northern and Southern Middle Schools to present their high-end examples of emerging technologies and expose our students to the relationship between music and technology.  Students who attended the 6-hour long camp were exposed to four different labs:  Computer Assisted Design, circuit boards and the creation of synthesized music, Blockly coding language and writing music to play on a computer, and application creation.  These sessions kept students engaged throughout the entire day.
